If you’ve ever bought lingerie, you know that purchasing panties is much easier than purchasing bras. Buying a bra is so much more complicated than buying panties. Panties are generally the right size or not, there are only so many variables when it comes to that part of your body and most women know whether or not they like G-strings, briefs or shorts. There are simply not that many things that can go wrong with the purchase of a pair of panties.
Bras, however, are enormously complicated to buy, and that is just when you go shopping for a bra because you need a new bra. When you go shopping for a sexy bra, the job gets even harder.
For a start, it is essential to be properly measured to understand your bra size. Even after you have been measured, remember that a 34C in one brand will not fit like a 34C in another. You could vary by as much as two cup sizes between one brand and another, and you will only find this out when you actually try each product on. This is one of the main reasons that women like to shop in pairs. Having to get dressed in between bras is annoying and time-consuming, to say the least.
In order to find the right bra, you really do need to try on a wide variety of possibilities in a wide variety of sizes in order to find the one that is right for you. This variance in bra sizes also means two other things, both of which are very important. The first is that, once you find a particular make of bra which fits you, remember it and stick with that one. It will make future bra-buying sessions much quicker and far less painful. The second thing is that if you gain or lose any weight at all, you will have to go through the whole process again, as I can promise that no matter where you think you lost or gained the weight, it is most likely to have changed your chest area somehow.
Now, there is also a huge variety in the basic bra design. You can get bras which hook up in the back, which hook up in the front, which zip up in front or have snaps in the front. You can find halter-neck bras, cross-back bras or plain over the shoulder strap bras, and you can get bras with detachable straps so that you can make them into any of the above. You can also get bras which are completely without any straps at all, although if you have anything which really needs to be held up, the chances are most strapless bras will not be able to win the battle with gravity.
The thing about bras is that their function is highly important and it is no good getting a very pretty bra which doesn’t fit properly. Sooner or later, it will get extremely uncomfortable and frustrating to wear. Be safe – try before you buy.
